Prompt #1 (200+ words): Write a story about a character arriving at the Glade for the first time through the box. The prompt can be written from any perspective.
The darkness was absolute. The only sound was the rhythmic clanking of metal against metal, echoing in the confined space. As the box ascended, the character inside felt a mix of fear and curiosity. Who am I? Where am I going? The questions swirled in their mind, unanswered and relentless.
Suddenly, the box jolted to a stop, and a blinding light flooded in as the ceiling above opened. The character squinted, raising a hand to shield their eyes. Slowly, shapes began to form in the brightness—faces peering down, curious and wary.
"Welcome to the Glade," a voice called out. It was firm but not unkind. The character's heart raced as they were helped out of the box, their legs unsteady on the solid ground.
The Glade was a sprawling expanse of green, surrounded by towering stone walls. The character's eyes darted around, taking in the sight of other boys, all dressed in similar worn clothes, some working, others watching the newcomer with interest.
"What's your name?" the voice asked again. The character turned to see a tall boy with a serious expression. He seemed to be in charge.
"I... I don't know," the character stammered, the realization hitting hard. They couldn't remember anything—not their name, not their past, nothing.
The tall boy nodded, as if this was expected. "Happens to all of us. You'll remember soon enough. For now, just stick with me."
As Glader-1 led the character through the Glade, explaining the basics of their new life, the character couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. The walls seemed to loom closer, and the maze beyond them whispered secrets they couldn't yet understand.
But amidst the fear and confusion, there was a spark of determination. The character knew one thing for certain: they would find answers. They would survive. And maybe, just maybe, they would escape.
I hope you enjoyed the story! If you have any other requests or need further details, feel free to ask.

Prompt #2 (200+ words): Create a story about the conflict between the Gladers and the Banished. The prompt can be written from any perspective.
The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the Glade. Glader-3 stood at the edge of the forest, his eyes scanning the treeline for any signs of movement. The tension in the air was palpable; everyone knew that the Banished were out there, lurking, waiting for the right moment to strike.
The Banished were former Gladers who had been exiled into the Maze for their crimes. They had survived against all odds, forming a rogue group that now threatened the fragile peace of the Glade. Their leader, a once-respected Glader Glader-4, had gone mad after the Changing and had been the first to be banished. Takeing up the name Banished-1
"Glader-3, over here!" Glader-2s urgent whisper broke through his thoughts. Glader-3 turned to see Glader-2 crouched behind a bush, motioning for him to join. He moved quickly, keeping low to avoid being seen.
"They're planning something big," Glader-2 said, his voice barely audible. "We need to be ready."
Glader-3 nodded, his mind racing. The Banished had been making increasingly bold moves, stealing supplies and sabotaging their efforts to map the Maze. It was only a matter of time before they launched a full-scale attack.
As night fell, the Gladers gathered in the center of the Glade. Glader-1, their leader, stood before them, his face grim. "We have to defend our home," he said, his voice steady. "The Banished won't stop until they've taken everything from us."
The Gladers armed themselves with makeshift weapons—sticks, rocks, anything they could find. Glader-3 felt a surge of determination. They had survived the Maze, the Grievers, and the trials set by the Creators. They would survive this too.
The first attack came just before dawn. The Banished emerged from the shadows, their faces twisted with anger and desperation. The Gladers fought back fiercely, their unity and resolve giving them strength. Glader-3 found himself face-to-face with Banished-1, the leader of the Banished.
"You don't have to do this," Glader-3 shouted over the chaos. "We can find another way."
Banished-1s eyes were wild, filled with a mix of rage and pain. "There is no other way," he snarled, lunging at Glader-3 The two grappled, their struggle a symbol of the larger conflict between the Gladers and the Banished.
In the end, it was the Gladers' unity that won the day. They managed to drive the Banished back into the Maze, but the victory was bittersweet. They had lost friends, and the threat of the Banished still loomed large.
As the sun rose, casting a new light on the Glade, Glader-3 stood with his fellow Gladers, their faces marked by exhaustion and resolve. They had defended their home, but the fight was far from over. The Maze was a place of constant challenges, and they would face them together, as they always had.
